Mozart’s famous opera The Marriage of Figaro is a whirlwind comedy of betrothal, betrayal and deliciously bad behaviour.

Set on a single day, it packs in a dazzling procession of madcap comic schemes and setbacks, all of which are punctuated by some of the most sublime music ever written. This is Mozart at the height of his powers.

Celebrated for its rich character development, intricate plot and Mozart’s brilliant score, The Marriage of Figaro is a staple in the operatic repertoire for a reason. Book your opera tickets to experience the ENO’s production of The Marriage of Figaro live on the London Coliseum stage in 2025.

Opera was very good, a little loose in places. The English libretto was funny but occasionally failed to fire the deepest feelings. I thought the set worked well. Applauded enthusiastically at the end with everyone else. My main issue was my seat was broken and had clearly been broken for a while. I managed to move and reported it. Had there been no seats nearby it would have ruined my enjoyment.

In the King of Lord strange things can happen, but singing an Opera in English, when should be entirely in Italian..!! The production was made as very funny musical, poor scenography, costumes of the performers very casual and not adapted to the time of the opera was written. Terrible experience. I left 15' after it started. God, forgive them, they don't know what are doing.

Beverley Lawrence

Beautiful theatre, thoroughly enjoyed the performance. I will definitely be visiting again in the not too distant future!

mediocre overall experience. Nice sound i have to say and amazing actors/singers. First part sublime, such amazing songs and acts. Second part we were pushed to a "cave", just because we went to the bathroom on the club next-door as the Coliseum as packed of people at break time, Came back and not only the doors were shut, also they did not let us take our seat on the last row of the seats, as we could annoy someone, so they took us into a basement next to the restaurant where there was no seats, only a few folding chairs and a TV, not a screen, a TV! So please if ever anyone will leave the Coliseum to use the bathroom, make sure you run, otherwise you will be locked outside! Give a 2 out of 5 because obviously the best part of the show we couldn't really watch/listen properly. But i still recommend.

I think it disgraceful that you charge £125 for seats A37 &A38 that are so uncomfortable. For your customers sake please replace the seat which is soft, made up of ridges, old and unpleasant to sit on for 3 hours. NOT good at all. Please go and sit on them in temperatures of 26C+. When you have a full house. Will the manager please start managing Totally ruined a special birthday treat.

One of the best productions of The Marriage of Figaro that OI have ever seen

Michael Spruzs

Very good, excellent set, brilliant soprano. Music could be louder! (no expert). Soprano loud clear compared with other singers and the audience seemed to appreciate her the most. Did sit with the gods!

Christina Paumgarten

it was very enjoyable, and I am picky!

SC Earley

Absolutely fantastic. The countess and Cherubino were exceptional.

Dahlia Renaud
